The 2018 Grand is in the books! We will prepare a report shortly, as a
quick note, there were 62 200s in the Singles Championship! WOW!
Attention Florida ATA registered trapshooters and gun clubs that have registered
shoots. At this year’s ATA Board of Directors Meeting at the Grand American in
Sparta, IL a new By Law was passed. This new By Law abolishes the 18 yard
handicap beginning target year September 1st, 2018.
Some 800, 18 yard registered shooters internationally are impacted by this change. A written
notification will be sent out to those impacted showing their new yardage as 19
yards. Remember this By Law change begins September 1st, 2018.
Another change not as significant is the abolishment of yardage punches for
winning money. The punches for winning $750.00 or $1200.00 has been
abolished and again will take effect September 1st, 2018.
Look for your Florida Grand American winners soon. Plus other information
concerning Florida Clubs.
We missed you this year and hope you plan on attending this great trapshooting
tournament next year.
Florida ATA Delegate
Dear Officers, Zone Directors, Delegates and Club Directors,
There are two (2) very important changes that take place on September 1,2018.
Please make sure that all clubs in your Zone or that you are a director of comply
with these changes. Also it is very important that anyone who shoots in your clubs
are paid members of the ATA. We are penalized if we do not collect the dues.
1. Larry Grenevicki requested that I notify each of you to advise that as of
September 1, 2018 the 18 yard line in handicap will be abolished. All who are
currently shooting on the 18 yard line will be moved to the 19 yard line. All
shooters on the 18 yard line currently are being notified via mail of this change.
2. As of September 1, 2018 all 100 bird events will be subject to an increase in
the daily fee for FTA to $3 from $2. The Big 50 events will continue at $1. This is
for the daily fee for FTA. There is no change to the ATA daily fee.
